Mr. Fred DiMeglio

DiMeglio Fred "Freddy the Barber" DiMeglio, age 93 , of Holmes,PA passed away peacefully Aug. 30, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Joanne DiMeglio(nee Silvestri). Loving father of John (Lorraine) of Springfield, Vivian (Martin) Monaghan of Aldan, Fred ( Mary Beth ) of Morton, and Robert of Holmes. Cherished grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 2. Mr DiMeglio was known as "Freddy the Barber" to many as he spent many years working at Frank's Barbershop in Springfield.After Frank's closing he cut hair at various shops in the area, his home, and even going to local nursing homes. He was also known for his wonderful garden., and was proud of his tomatoes and his flowers. Relatives and friends are invited to Fred's Life Celebration on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 from 8:30 to 10 AM in James F. Knoetgen of Morton,PA, 746 Kedron Ave(Rt. 420), Morton,PA 19070 with his funeral service to follow at 10 AM. Interment Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation in Fred's name may be made to Friends of Fair Acres, Att: Cheryl Everngham, 340 N. Middletown Rd, Lima, PA 19037.
