Millicent Scarlett

Millicent A. Scarlett, age 79, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on August 11, 2022. Born in Jamaica, she was the daughter of the late Ralford Scarlett and Hazel I. (nee Williams) Scott. 

Millicent loved spending time with her family, friends, and her church family. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, flower shows, and Longwood Botanical Gardens.

Millicent was an admirer of music, chocolate ice cream, star apples, and flowers, especially orchids.

Millicent was the loving mother of Marcia Ramsay, Yvonne Needham, and Angella Longmore; caring grandmother of Tiffany Needham, Julia Rainford, and Norval Rainford; adoring great-grandmother of T’Juana and D’Junae; beloved sister of Ransford Scarlett, Maud Scarlett, and Othniel Scott; devoted aunt of Novelette, Kim, Karl, and Kevin. Predeceased by son David, her sisters Rose and Carmen Scarlett, and brother Donovan.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday, September 1, 2022 at West Philadelphia Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 4527 Haverford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19139-2826, followed by her Funeral Service 11:00 AM.
