Mickey Murphy, age 65, of Upper Darby, PA, formerly of Clifton Heights, PA, passed away on March 29, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son the late Michael L. and Catherine Murphy (nee Campbell).
Mickey was employed with the Upper Darby Township in the Sanitation Dept.
Mickey had the gift of gab, striking up conversations with anyone he met.
He always had something funny to say.
He was a collector of antique trains, Coca-Cola items, tools, Tonka Trucks and Hot Wheels Cars.
He would do anything to help anyone.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Mary Jean Murphy (nee Rainey), his siblings Lori Murtaugh (Bernie), Eddie Murphy (Vicky) and Cassie Morgan (Dan) and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday, April 4, 2018 6:00-9:00 PM and Thursday 10:00-11:00 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
