Mickey G. Madonna (nee Gerace), age 86, of Broomall, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on May 6, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Philomena Gerace (nee Cavalieri).
Mickey had been employed as an Office Manager for Robert C. Madonna Associates, CP in Drexel Hill, PA.
Mickey was a family oriented, compassionate, forgiving, beautiful and loving woman.
She loved her Church, religious medals, her kitchen, jewelry and her IPad.
The people in Mickey's life who were most important to her were her mother, Peggy, her husband, Bob, her children and grandchildren.
Mickey was a devout Catholic.
She prayed the rosary daily and had a great devotion to the Blessed Mother, St. Rita of Cascia and the Pink Sisters.
She enjoyed her home, visiting New Orleans, LA,
Sea Isle City, NJ,
France and St. Rita's Shrine in Philadelphia.
She loved cooking, baking, sewing, reading and fashion.
She was active in Delaware County Memorial Hospital's Women's Club and helping out in an Adult Learning Spanish School.
Mickey is survived by her beloved husband, Robert C. Madonna, D.O., her loving children Robert C. Madonna, Jr., D.O. (Kimberly), Stephen T. Madonna (Marie), John N. Madonna, Sr. (Renee) and David P. Madonna (Patricia), her dear grandchildren Robert III, Matthew, David, Daniel, Stephanie, Samantha, Andrew, John Jr. and Joseph and her great-grandson Robert IV.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday, May 10, 2018 6:30-8:30 PM and Friday, May 11, 2018 8:30-9:15 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA.
Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
