Michael V. Smythe

Michael V. Smythe age 64 passed away on June 17. Loving husband of Melanie (nee Blazosky) and devoted father of Stephanie Fawcett (Kevin) and Brittany Smith (Shawn). He will be missed by his grandchildren Mollie Rose, Lucy Emilia and Everly Olga. He is also survived by his sisters Rose Crawford (the late James), and Jacqueline Badey (the late William) and brother John (Sharon), sisters-in-law Debra Winshel (Carl) and Denise Whiteman.

Mike was a member of the Lester Fire House and the West End Boat Club. He was a CYO coach for St. Gabriel’s in Norwood for many years. He loved spending time with his friends, family and grandchildren. He was an avid collector of trains, enjoyed woodworking, yardwork, fishing and time at the beach.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Sunday, June 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave, Morton, PA. His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 27 at 10:30 a.m at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 2130 Franklin Ave, Morton, PA. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
