Michael F. Sidoti, age 72, of Media, PA, passed away peacefully with his wife at his bedside on March 18, 2019.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Gene and Jennie (nee Fiorino) Sidoti.
Michael served his country honorably in the United Stated Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal.
He received his Master's degree from Villanova University.
Michael was employed for 44 years as a career counselor at Delaware County Community College and was influenced by every colleague he worked with, all of his friends and family and every student who entered his life.
Michael was passionate about animal welfare as well as the environment.
He was an avid rare book collector, as well as a collector of vintage photos and stamps.
He was a lover of many music genres with his favorite artist being Chet Baker.
Michael was a volunteer at Media Upper Providence Library and was an auction goer with a flair for finding the unique.
What Michael cherished most was being a grandfather.
He loved spending time with his grandkids, and enjoyed spending time at Cape May, NJ, trips to Bermuda, and relaxing in his own backyard.
He was an intelligent, funny, mischievous, sensitive and brave man who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Michael was the beloved husband of Julie (nee Sullivan) Sidoti; the loving father of Erin J. Muehsam (Peter) and Colin Michael Sidoti (Galadriel Gleason); the cherished grandfather of Harper Muehsam and Severen Michael Sidoti and the dear brother of Debra Cercek (Frank).
He is predeceased by his sister, Jean Sidoti.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Saturday, March 30, 2019, 12:00 - to 2:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA

Interment private.
