Michael Xavier McGlone

Michael Xavier McGlone, age 21, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away on December 10, 2025. Born in Chester, PA, he was the beloved son of Jennifer Meredith (nee Lange) and Joseph M. McGlone, III.

Michael was the loving grandson of James and Kathleen Lange, adoring nephew of Katie Lange (Kirk Iyama) and Geoff Lange, and caring cousin of Jake and Ryan Iyama. Predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph and Mary McGlone.

A prodigious straight-A student at the University of Pittsburgh, Michael's dedication to learning was matched only by his passion for exploration. His academic pursuits were interwoven with an insatiable curiosity for the natural world, particularly in the realms of geology and rockhounding. He not only sought knowledge but thrived in sharing it, inspiring those around him to marvel at the beauty that lies within the earth.

In addition to his scholarly achievements, Michael possessed an artistic soul, finding solace and expression through music and drumming. The rhythmic beats he created served as a reflection of his vibrant spirit, captivating those who had the pleasure of witnessing his performances. Whether it was jamming with friends or delving into complex musical compositions, Michael’s love for rhythm resonated throughout his life.

His interests did not end there; he also enjoyed the simple joys of shooting pool and indulging in moments of laughter and camaraderie with his cherished friends and family. These experiences, rich with connection and joy, formed the tapestry of Michael's life, showcasing a young man who fully appreciated the world around him.

In a life that was all too brief, Michael Xavier McGlone has left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. His profound enthusiasm for life, his unwavering pursuit of knowledge, and his boundless affection for those he loved ensure that he will be forever missed.

Family and friends are invited to Michael’s Viewing 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2025 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Funeral Mass 12:30 PM at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, PA 19382, which will be livestreamed. (Link will be provided closer to the Mass). Interment Private. In remembrance of Michael, the McGlone family requests for those attending the services to wear jeans and flannels to honor him at the services.
