Maureen S. Flick

Maureen S. Flick (“Reene”), age 69, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on October 29, 2023.  Beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia (nee Grant) Sefton.

Maureen is survived by her husband, James D. Flick; children, Carolyn Corr (Andrew), Jacquelyn Fagioli (Craig), Allison Mongiello (Bruno), and James J. Flick (Alyssa); grandchildren, Cecilia, Sara, Layla, Benjamin, Bruno, Louise, Avery, and James A.; Sisters, Virginia O’Donnell and Peg Sefton. Maureen was predeceased by her brother Joseph Sefton.

Maureen grew up in Upper Darby and was a graduate of St. Laurence School and Archbishop Prendergast High School. She attended Vo-tech for cosmetology to pursue a career as a hairstylist. Later she worked as a teller at Girard Bank. She served as a bookkeeper for various small family businesses throughout her life. She also worked at the Manoa SuperFresh and held an administrative role at Saber Health. Her primary vocation was being a mother. She was an avid volunteer at St. Dorothy School, filling roles such as a teacher's aide and lunch mom. She was also a Brownie troop leader and served as Treasurer for the Bonner Mother’s Club for many years.

Maureen loved music, and was especially a fan of Johnny Mathis. She loved time at the shore, and had a special fondness for Strathmere, NJ, where her father built and owned a shore house during her childhood. She enjoyed cooking, baking, singing, and hosting dance parties in any kitchen. More than anything she loved being with her family and her dear grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Saturday, November 4^th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a funeral mass at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Rd, Drexel Hill, PA. Interment private.
