Maryvirginia Gill

Maryvirginia Gill (nee Patrick), 91, of Wayne, passed away December 30, 2018.

Born August 30, 1927 in State College, PA, she was a daughter of the late Austin Lathrop and Marguerite (nee Payson) Patrick.

Maryvirginia earned her Bachelor's and Master's degree in education and special education from Penn State. She began teaching at Overbrook School for the Blind, interrupted her career to raise her children, and returned to Timothy School for Autistic Children. She finished her teaching career in her 70's at Elwyn School for the Developmentally Disabled. She taught at Overbrook School for the Blind, She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church of Wynnewood and later of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church of Bryn Mawr. She was an avid bridge player and did water aerobics nearly daily well into her 80's.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Gill, Sr.; loving mother of Robert H. Gill, Jr., Amy L. Gill-Price (Brian Gill-Price), David A. Gill, and Kathryn G. Gill; adoring grandmother of Ashley Frazier (Chuck), Michael Price (Carolyn), Timothy Gill-Price, Patrick Gill (Laura), Jake Gill, Austin Gill, and Anna Gill; and caring great-grandmother of Maggie, Evan, Ryan, Christian, and Samuel. She was predeceased by her brothers: Austin L. Patrick, Jr and George G. Patrick.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM, January 12, 2019 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Ave., Wayne, PA 19087 610-989-9600, followed by her Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Internment private.
