Mary Carmella Repkoe-Foy

Mary Carmella Repkoe-Foy, “Marymell”, age 82, of Chester, PA, formerly of Havertown, PA, passed away on February 13, 2026. Born in Darby, PA, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Carmella Mary Repkoe (nee Jones), and a proud ‘61 alum of Archbishop Prendergast HS.

Throughout her life, Marymell was renowned for her infectious enthusiasm for gathering with loved ones. The warmth of her presence shone brightest during the cherished moments spent at holidays, birthdays, and the myriad of special occasions that life presented. Her visits with family and friends were full of joy and laughter. Marymell was dedicated to her granddaughters; she loved being “Grandmom” and made every effort to attend their concerts, plays, musicals, and other activities. For these and most every other event, Mary was ready to capture special moments with her ever-present camera.

Summer trips to the Poconos held a special place in her heart. Each year, these adventures became a testament to her commitment to fostering connections among her family. In her earlier days, dancing was a favorite pastime while singing remained part of her life whether along with the radio or just humming quietly to herself. Marymell also found pleasure in the thrill of the casinos, where she often indulged in the excitement of playing slots or enjoying a live show.

Marymell had a generous spirit; she brought joy to family and friends alike during celebrations with a bag of thoughtful presents. Her kindness extended beyond familial ties; she embraced her many cats over the years with a love that reflected her nurturing soul. Mary was devout in her faith, praying daily for the health and well-being of family and friends first in her intentions reflecting her selfless generosity. Her strong Catholic belief gave her the strength to overcome major challenges and difficulties in her life, as did the support and compassion of her sisters and extended family throughout her life.

Mary was the beloved wife of William J. Foy; loving mother of Michael Joseph Norton (Stephanie); adoring grandmother of Anna Leah and Audrey Mary Norton; caring sister of Elizabeth Ann Jackson, Mark Borkowski, and the late Irene L. Bradley and Marie Szadorski.

Family and friends are invited to Mary’s Visitation 9:00-10:00 AM on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Sacred Heart Church, 105 Wilson Ave, Havertown, PA 19083, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
