Mary Eleanor Ray

Mary Eleanor Ray (née Cope), of Newtown Square, peacefully passed away on December 3, 2025 at the age of 88.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Kathryn (née Durkin) Cope.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth F. (Skippy) Ray; the loving mother of Kevin Ray (Suzanne), Kathryn Lawley (Burton), Kenneth Ray (Gabriela) and Mary Pat Miner (John). She was the caring and devoted grandmother of Madison (Noah), Michael, Patrick, Andrew, Sean, Tess, and Matthew.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, December 11, 2025, 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. A Funeral Mass will follow commencing at 10:30 AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions in Mary’s memory be made to The Saint Anastasia School Endowment Fund, at above mentioned address.
