Mary J. O'Donnell

Mary Jeanette O’Donnell (Lawler), age 92, of West Grove, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on January 21, 2023.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mary was the daughter of the late James and Florence Lawler (nee Bettis). 

Mary was a faith-filled woman.  She loved going to Church, traveling, sports and dancing.   Most of all, she loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She had been a member of The Laurentians, the senior group at St. Laurence Church.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late John F. O’Donnell.  She is survived by her loving sons John F. O’Donnell, Jr. (Feryn) and Joseph O’Donnell (Kathy).  Dear grandmother of Ronnie Ann O’Donnell-Behrle, John O’Donnell, Sean O’Donnell, Morgan O'Donnell and great-grandmother of Sterling Behrle and Declan Behrle.   She was predeceased by her ten brothers and sisters, William, Robert, John Lawler, Joan P. Garland (the late Marty), Thomas, David and James Lawler, Ann Schlater (Nelson), Helen Giordano and Florence Compton. 

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Friday, January 27, 2023 9:30-11:00 AM at St. Laurence Lower Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory to Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
