Mary E. Sessa

Mary E. Sessa (nee Farrell), age 86, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on February 12, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Michael and Anne T. Farrell (nee O’Donnell).

Mary grew up in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. She graduated from Hallahan Girls High School. Mary worked at JC Penney for many years. In 1957 she married the love of her life, Francis X. Sessa, and started their wonderful life together. Mary was a member of the Drexel Hill Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to travel and explore new places. Mary always said what was on her mind!

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Francis X. Sessa; loving mother of Francis Sessa (Peggy), Joseph Sessa (Loretta), Thomas Sessa (Jackie), and John Sessa; caring grandmother of Amanda (Al), Joe (Jill), Marc (Kelli), Kevin, Christian, Tommy, Kevin M., Matt, Michael, Patrick, and Jimmy and great-grandmother of Alex, Jane, Joey, Mason, Ruth, and Caroline. Predeceased by her siblings, Mike Farrell, Barney Farrell, and Ann Brown. Also survived by her sister-in-law, Joanne Farrell, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00-10:30 AM Thursday, February 15, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
