Mary Anne Carl

Mary Anne Carl, wife of the late Robert D. Carl, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025 in Devon, PA. Daughter of the late Dr. Gerald and Ursula (Yeager) McGarvey, Mary Anne was born and raised in Lancaster County, where she resided until moving in 2021 to be closer to family. Mary Anne attended Catholic schools in Lancaster, graduating from Lancaster Catholic High School, and was a former member of St. Anne's and St. Leo the Great parishes.

Mary Anne worked in retail at Sears in Lancaster for over 20 years, and in retirement enjoyed monthly lunches with her work friends. In her free time, Mary Anne was most likely found gardening, reading or baking for friends and family. Mary Anne was a kind and giving woman who delighted in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary Anne is survived by her son, Robert D. Carl III (Ann Currie), and their children Anneliese Carl and James Robert ("Robbie") Carl; and her daughter Dorothy ("Dore") Carl, wife of Thomas Quinn, and their children Zachary Quinn (Jessica Berman), Matthew Quinn (Ingrid), Tyler Quinn, and Ryan Quinn, and two great-grandchildren Porter and Mia Quinn. She is predeceased by her sister Ursula Fahs. Mary Anne was a loving aunt to her six nieces Ursula Thomas, Debbie Turner, Sandy Turner, Patricia Fahs, Linda Gewertz, and Marianne Ulmer and their children.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mary Anne's visitation on Tuesday, January 13, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM followed by her funeral mass at St. Norbert Church, 50 Leopard Road, Paoli, PA AT 10:30 AM. Interment private.
