Marion Snekenberg

Marion A. Snekenberg, formerly of Hicksville, Long Island, NY, passed on to the Lord on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the age of 86.
She was the beloved wife of the late William Henry Snekenberg, loving mother of Lynne Barr (Brian) and the late Susan Smith (Bill) and the late Donna Hajny.
Marion graduated from Oceanside High School and married her husband Bill in 1950. She worked in Editing, Publishing and Advertising for many years. She had a fervent love for God, family, and friends. Family and community were paramount in her life, and her faith in God was enduring and unyielding. She was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, seeing how her family grew in love and faith.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Schaefer (Duke), daughter, Lynne (Brian), grandchildren Kaelyn, Shea, Cameron, Evan, Chris, Billy, Steven, Matthew, and Liz, and great-grandchildren Evelyn, Liam, Colette, and Addyson. Her humor and spirit were unrelenting, and she will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are invited to her Viewing Saturday, July 7, 2018 10-11 AM Trinity Lutheran Church, 40 W. Nicolai St., Hicksville, NY followed by Service 11 AM.
