Marie B. Russell

Marie B. Russell (nee Purcell), age 88, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on June 15, 2024.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Marguerite (nee Sheridan) Purcell. Marie worked in the Railroad and the financial industry up until she was 88 years old. She liked to be the center of attention and had a great sense of humor. Marie enjoyed dancing and traveling with her niece to Ireland. Most of all, she loved being a grandmom and was a proud "hockey grandmom". Marie also had a special place in her heart for her 4 legged granddogs.

 Marie was the beloved wife of the late Edward Russell, Sr.; loving mother of Bridget Russell (Steven Goldberg) and Edward Russell, Jr. (Chrissy); caring grandmother of Eddie Russell, III (Zoe) and Shannon Russell and great-grandmother of Oakley; loved by many nieces and nephews. She was the youngest of her 8 siblings who predeceased her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00-11:00 AM Thursday, June 20, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
