Marianne P. Ohler, 79, of Malvern, PA, passed away January 6, 2026. Born April 25, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Laurence C. and Catherine R. (nee McCarron) Power.
Marianne grew up in Drexel Hill, graduated from Archbishop Prendergast and worked as a medical technician at Fitzgerald Mercy. She later worked in the religious education department at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and volunteered as a CCD teacher there. In her later years she also served as an ordained minister for St. Pats. She finished her career working for Vanguard. Marianne was always busy taking her 4 kids to sporting events and activities. She was voted into the Chester Valley Little League Hall of Fame in 2018 after being the Director of Purchasing for 15 years, serving on the board, and managing the league directory. She was also the Director of Purchasing for St. Pat’s CYO, started Boosters Clubs for Great Valley High School girl’s lacrosse and basketball teams and wrote the newsletter for George Mason University Women’s Lacrosse team. She worked at the polls on election days and spent several summers as a camp counselor at Sugartown Elementary. Marianne grew up spending summers in Ocean City, NJ and later in life spent as much time as she could there. Marianne loved traveling and developed a huge passion for going on European river cruises with cousins and friends. Marianne loved watching the Phillies and Eagles play as well as her grandkids. She also enjoyed taking workout classes at the YMCA. She developed many great friendships through all of these activities and will be greatly missed by all.
Marianne was the beloved wife of the late Richard A. Ohler, Jr.; loving mother of Richard A. Ohler, III (Jill), Jonathan B. Ohler (Mary Doyle), Jeannine Childs (Ryan), and Jeffrey M. Ohler; adoring grandmother of Jilian Ohler, Richard T. Ohler, Jet Ohler, Hudson Childs, and Hayden Childs; and dear sister of Larry Power.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM, Saturday, January 10, 2026 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 104 Channing Ave, Malvern, PA, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
