Marian L. Cardell

Marian L. Cardell, of Collingdale, PA and Sea Isle City, NJ, peacefully passed away on January 16, 2023.   Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late James J. and Blanche M. Murray (Nee Sheehan).   She spent her childhood years in Norwood, PA and was a proud graduate of Notre Dame High School, Class of 1952.

Over the years, Marian was involved in the Monsignor Bonner Mother’s Club, Notre Dame High School reunions and Sorority and an active member of St. Joseph Church in Collingdale, PA.  She retired from the Rose Tree Media School where she was an administrative assistant.

Marian enjoyed her summer months in Sea Isle and her winter months in Ft. Myers, Florida.   Along with spending time with family and friends, her happiest moments were sitting or walking on the beach.

Marian was predeceased by her husband, William P. Cardell, Jr. and her grandson Sean Patrick Burke.   She is survived by her children Maureen A. Scalea (Al), W. Paul Cardell III (Mary Lou), Daniel P. (Mary), Colleen A. Burke (Kevin), her grandchildren Erin Caramanico (John), Daniel P. Cardell (Allison), Paul M. Cardell (Julie), Jaclyn M. Golato (Michael), Kaitlyn S. Mullen (Michael), Kevin J. Burke, Ryan W. Burke, 14 great-grandchildren and her sister Margaret H. Cadden.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Saturday, January 21, 2023 9:30 AM-11:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, 500 Woodlawn Avenue, Collingdale, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM.  Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
