Maria Grace "Ri" Marley

Maria Grace “Ri” Marley (nee D’Emilio), age 68, of Havertown, PA, passed away on June 11, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Grace D’Emilio (nee Mercanti).

Maria had an extraordinary career spanning 45 years as a Pediatric Nurse. A proud graduate of Neumann College, Maria’s commitment to her vocation was matched only by her fervent love for her family and friends. An avid runner, she not only championed physical fitness but also imbued her enthusiasm for life into all her endeavors. She was known far and wide not only for her boundless energy but also for her culinary delights. Maria had a passion for cooking and baking that brought friends and family together, crafting delicious meals filled with love and laughter.

Her heart was as generous as her talents; she was a devoted volunteer and filled her time with active involvement in Holy Family Home and St. Dorothy's Parish. Maria found joy in crafting, traveling and relished her trips to the Jersey Shore, creating countless memories that would last a lifetime. She cherished the role of "Mom-Mom," bringing unending love and support to her grandchildren, and fostering the bonds of family that would carry generations forward.

Ri was the beloved wife of John Marley; loving mother of Andrew Marley (Rebekah), Alexis Marley, and Sarah Marley; adoring Mom-Mom of Peter and Paul Marley; caring sister of James D’Emilio, Rose Glotfelty, and the late Paul D’Emilio.

Family and friends are invited to Maria’s Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, and 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Monday, June 16, 2025 at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Rd., Drexel Hill, PA 19026, followed by her Funeral Mass at 12:30 PM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
