Maria L. Campuzano, R.N., age 56, of Springfield, PA, formerly of Yeadon, PA and Wallingford, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 3, 2018 after a long illness.
A resident of Springfield, PA for the past ten years, she was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
Maria was a truly loyal, loving, kind hearted person who always put others' needs first.
A true caregiver at heart, Maria was always the first person to step in and help take care of both family members and friends.
A hard worker, she had an extensive nursing background through the years.
In her early nursing career, she worked at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Pennsylvania Hospital, Riddle Memorial Hospital and Taylor Hospital.
She also worked at Dunwoody Village in Newtown Square, PA for several years.
After leaving Dunwoody Village, Maria took time off to take care of ill family members who were in need of her skills and expertise before they passed.
Her loss at such a young age is a tragedy.
She will be greatly missed and never forgotten by those who truly knew her and loved her.
Maria was the beloved daughter of the late Felix R. and Teresa C. Campuzano (nee Asbury); dearest sister of Joseph E. Campuzano, Thomas H. Campuzano, the late Madeleine S. Campuzano and the late F. Raymond Campuzano; godmother of Briana T. Campuzano Clothier; loyal niece of Marie E. Asbury; aunt of many nieces and nephews.
A loving daughter, a loyal sister and a true friend - this is what Maria will be remembered for.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday, August 9, 2018 9:30 AM-11:00 AM St. Kevin Church, 200 W. Sproul Road, Springfield, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
