Marguerite "Marge" Gregory

Marguerite “Marge” Gregory, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Suzanna (née McKeKenna) Gallagher.

A proud graduate of West Catholic Girls High School, Marge carried with her throughout her life the values and friendships fostered in those formative years. She went on to dedicate her professional life to the Health Care industry, working as a Dental Assistant. Her kindness, attention to detail, and caring disposition brightened her workplace and made each patient feel cared for in body and in spirit.

Faith played a significant role throughout Marge’s life. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Laurence Church and later at St. Anastasia Church, where she developed lasting friendships and contributed to her parish communities with steadfast devotion.

Marge’s connection to her Irish heritage was a source of great pride. As a member of the Irish Immigrant Center, she embraced Irish music and dancing, celebrating the traditions and culture that were so meaningful to her.

The Jersey Shore was another place close to Marge’s heart—she cherished her time spent there, finding joy in its unique rhythms and the memories made along its shores.

Marge was the beloved wife of James “Jim” Gregory; the loving mother of Kathleen “Kathy” Nee (John). She was the adoring and caring grandmother of James Gregory, Matthew Gregory (Andrea), Katherine Gregory, Sarah Jessica Nee, Brendan Michael Nee, Christopher Cannon, and Luke Cannon. She was the dear great-grandmother of James Gregory, Carmella Gregory, Layla Gregory, Beau Gregory, Selena Cannon, and Keira Cannon. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Joseph Gallagher and daughter-in-law, Angela Gregory. Marge is predeceased by her dear daughter, Margeurite Cannon and loving son, James Gregory.

Relatives and friends are invited to honor Marge at a Visitation on Thursday, August 13, 2026, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA, followed by a Funeral Mass, 11:00 AM. Interment private.
