Marguerite T. Caratello

Marguerite T. “Marge” Caratello (nee Tyrrell), age 87, of Crum Lynne, PA, passed away on September 9, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Martha Tyrrell (nee Miller).

Marge was a woman who cherished her family above all else, finding great delight in the connections that spanned generations. Her unwavering support and unconditional love served as a beacon of strength and comfort to those fortunate enough to know her. Family gatherings were marked by her radiant smile and infectious laughter, creating an atmosphere that brought everyone together in harmonious celebration.

A true passionate soul, Marge had an affinity for the thrills of life that went beyond the everyday. She found great delight strolling through the vibrant halls of the casino, where every card and roll of the dice became an opportunity for excitement. With the same enthusiasm, she passionately supported her beloved Phillies, celebrating their victories and standing steadfast through their struggles. Marge also treasured the simpler pleasures — reminiscent afternoons spent sipping comforting cups of tea accompanied by an array of sweets.

Marge was the beloved wife of the late John “Sonny” Caratello; loving mother of John J. Caratello, Kimberly Broomall (Harry), Anthony Caratello, and Christine Betzala (Joe); adoring grandmother of Jessica Freeman, Jennifer McHugh, Amanda Cignalia, John, Jason, and Josh Caratello, Anthony Jr., Andrew, and Matthew Caratello, and Justin Betzala; caring great-grandmother of Ava, Gabriel, Claire, Braxton, Guiliano, Sonny, Josh, Zoe, Jordyn, David, Finn, Jasper, and Benedict; devoted sister of Diane Gabriele and the late Theresa, Eleanor, and Mary.

Family and friends are invited to Marge’s Viewing 10:00-11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
