Margaretanne "Peggy" Staiber

Margaretanne “Peggy” Staiber (née Long), age 76, of Smyrna, DE, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024, surrounded by her Family.

 Born in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Roberta (née O’Neill) Long.

 Her favorite passed time was being with her family.  She was always fully present whether she was having movie night with her husband and best friend, having girl talk with her granddaughters, Nora and Evelyn, or sending gifts, texts and cards to her kids, grandkids and numerous friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins just so they always knew that she was thinking of them.   Her compassion and love will be remembered and felt always by all those that she touched.  

 Peggy was the beloved wife of Henry G. Staiber, Jr.; the loving mother of Michael Staiber (Renee), Frank Staiber (Jennifer), and the devoted grandmother of four.  She is also survived by her dear brother, Frank Long (Linda) and sister-in-law, Patricia Long.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Roberta Long, Charles Long, Edward McAnany (the late Cookie), and Winifred Ricci(the late Donnie). Peggy is also survived by a long list of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Thursday, February 15, 2024, 9:30 to 11:00 AM, at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA  19073, 610-353-6300; followed by her Funeral Service , 11:00AM.  Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.
