Margaret A. "Peg" O'Donnell (nee McFarland), age 81, of Havertown, PA, passed away on October 3, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary McFarland (nee Holland).
Peg loved her children and grandchildren. She had a heart of gold, and was the sweetest, kindest, gentlest, soft spoken woman with amazing strength.
Peg was predeceased by her beloved husband, James H. O'Donnell and her brothers Billy and Edward McFarland. She is survived by her loving children, James E., Patrick M., Margaret A. and Maureen P., her grandchildren Christina, Frankie, Amanda, James, Nicole, Michael, Matthew and Aidan and her sisters Patricia Lucas and Marietta Viola.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Tuesday, October 10, 2017 9:00-10:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300 followed by her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Screening, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 would be appreciated.
