Margaret-Mary P. Domin

January 26, 1950 — March 18, 2024

Margaret-Mary P. Domin, 74, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2024.

Born January 26, 1950 in Phoenix, AZ, she was a daughter of the late Eugene J. and Margaret “Peggy” (née Lenahan) Ryan. Margaret-Mary was the beloved wife of Richard A. Domin; blessed mother of Brian Domin (Laura), Jeanmarie Schrank (Michael), and Daniel Domin (Cara); adoring grandmother of Patrick, Maura, Declan, Braeden, Mikaela, and Colette; dear sister of Sister Mary Agnes Ryan, IHM, and Daniel J. Ryan (Rebecca); and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Gabriel Michael Schrank.

Margaret-Mary had many accomplishments throughout her 74 years of life. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School, Manoa, Cardinal O’Hara H.S., Immaculata University, and Villanova University. With her Bachelors in Latin (minors: Spanish and Secondary Education) and Masters in Classical Languages she taught at Archbishop Prendergast H.S., Devon Prep, and Malvern Prep. She was a loved teacher by many and her influence surely continues in the lives of countless students.

Margaret-Mary had a passion for the arts. Music, in addition to languages, was one of the great loves of her life. She sang and harmonized beautifully—a gift she would often share at Mass. She was a gifted piano player and would play many classical pieces with ease. Chopin’s music was frequently heard throughout her home. She loved Greek and Roman history and mythology and was able to explain the history of many things through this knowledge. This, coupled with her love of language, helped many in her circle learn the reasons for why things are the way that they are.

Margaret-Mary loved traveling the world, and this was a wish that she always held for others in her life. She traveled to many countries to expand her knowledge of language, culture, and history. She especially loved her time in Lourdes, France where she spent many summers volunteering with the sick and infirmed.

Her love of Catholicism brought with it a true servant’s heart. She volunteered for many years at Camilla Hall, taking great care to meet the needs of the sisters in any way that she could. The unborn were tirelessly advocated for by Margaret-Mary as she was a staunch and unwavering supporter of the Pro-Life movement. She used her language expertise in tutoring many English Language Learners in the Chester County area. Animals held a significant place in her heart, and she adopted many pets over the years—providing them a warm and loving home away from shelters. Any animal that was with Margaret-Mary knew love, nurturing, and compassion.

Margaret-Mary had a strong and uncompromising faith. She attended Mass daily and would often make Adoration the most important part of her day. She brought Jesus to others when bringing communion to the homebound parishioners of SS. Simon and Jude. More recently she was known for her work with the St. Agnes Parish Outreach Day Center in West Chester.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Monday, March 25, 2024 at SS. Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Camilla Hall, 100 Maxis Drive, Malvern, PA 19355.
