Margaret Mary “Missy” Fullmer December 28, 1972 – June 15, 2026

Margaret Mary “Missy” Fullmer, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on June 15, 2026, at the age of 53.

Born on December 28, 1972, in Media, Pennsylvania, to Margaret M. Daniels Fullmer and Francis J. Fullmer, Missy was the oldest of three children. From an early age, she possessed a rare combination of intelligence, kindness, and determination. A genuinely sweet, spirited, and precocious child, she naturally assumed the role of protector and caretaker for her younger siblings. Whether through her quick wit, generous heart, or unwavering loyalty, Missy left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Raised in Prospect Park, PA, Missy attended elementary school at St. Madeline’s in Ridley Park. She loved her high school years, the faculty and friends she made at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, Villanova, Class of 1990. Here she excelled academically, played soccer, and was a standout competitor on the Speech and Debate Team.

In 1996, she graduated from Washington and Lee University, Lexington, VA, then worked briefly in Washington D.C., beginning her career in law and government. She then moved to Birmingham, Alabama, to pursue her legal education at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, earning her Juris Doctor in 2001.

Following law school, Missy was selected to clerk for the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals in Montgomery, Alabama. She proudly served as Deputy Attorney General, under William H. Pryor Jr. It was there that she quickly established a reputation as a thoughtful, diligent, and exceptionally bright attorney whose integrity and commitment to justice never wavered.

Missy went on to practice law in Birmingham, focusing on corporate litigation, contracts, and tort law. Later, she continued her legal career in Virginia Beach, where colleagues and clients alike came to admire her sharp intellect, honesty, compassion, and commitment to those she served.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Missy served her country in the United States Army. Having been twice nominated and appointed to The United States Military Academy at West Point, where as a cadet, she played lacrosse, but most importantly, embodied the values of Duty, Honor, and Country. More than a chapter in her story, this experience reflected the strength, grit, and fearless spirit that defined her. Simply put, Missy was tough, determined, and never afraid to take on a challenge.

But those who knew and loved her will remember far more than her résumé. They will remember her beautiful heart.

Missy loved her family fiercely and treasured every moment spent with them. Her niece and nephews referred to her lovingly as “Aunt Mimi,” and there was nothing she enjoyed more than being part of their lives. She cherished family vacations to Cape May, long days spent at the beach, holiday gatherings, and the simple joy of being together.

A gifted artist in her own right, Missy was an exceptionally talented self-taught calligrapher who generously shared her talents with family and friends, creating invitations, proclamations, and keepsakes that will continue to be treasured for years to come. A true fashionista, Missy had a classic sense of style; and delighted in any opportunity to dress up, always looking perfectly accessorized, bringing her signature elegance to every occasion. While challenged as a cook, she was a wonderful baker, capable of creating beautiful appetizers, tasty snacks, and delicious treats. Some of her happiest moments were spent in the kitchen alongside her mother and sister, preparing holiday feasts and celebrating life's special occasions.

Throughout her life, Missy demonstrated remarkable resilience, courage, and perseverance. She never stopped fighting, never stopped caring for those she loved, and never lost the kindness and compassion that were at the very core of who she was. Missy served as the secretary, board member of Savage Sisters.

Missy will be remembered for her intelligence, humor, wit, creativity, humility, generosity, and her ability to make others feel valued and loved. Most of all, she will be remembered as a genuinely beautiful person with a kind heart and vibrant spirit, a woman whose life touched countless others and whose memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Missy is survived by and will be missed dearly by her beloved mother, Margaret M. Daniels Fullmer and her devoted father, Francis J. Fullmer; her loving brother, Matthew F. Fullmer (Mary); her dearest sister, Kathryn M. Fullmer Miller (Chris); her cherished niece, Meredith; and her adored nephews, John, Ryan, Liam, and Connor. She will also be deeply missed by her aunt Carol Daniels, cousins, numerous friends and colleagues, and the many lives she touched throughout her journey. She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Frances Connard Daniels; paternal grandparents Francis and Teresa Fullmer; her uncle John H. Daniels; and stepmother Denise Fullmer.
