Margaret “Peggy” Rallo Fischer, age 81, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026. Beloved daughter of the late Ernest S. and Marian D. (nee Priced Rallo.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Robert E. Fischer and her sister Nancy
Peggy attended Ridley Township Public Schools and decided to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher of special needs children, specializing in teaching K-6th grade children with learning disabilities. She received her B.Ed. from West Chester University and her M.Ed. degree from Temple University. Her advisor at Temple was one of the pioneers of teaching children with learning disabilities. Her teaching career spanned 40 years in three states (PA, IN, VA)
When Peggy was not working long hours on behalf of her hundreds of special needs students, she enjoyed sports (tennis, golf, Pilates), music (singing, learning to play the flute), knitting, and watching Eternal Word Television Network. In retirement, Peggy looked for opportunities to help others and make new friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Peggy’s viewing on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Madeleine Church, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park, PA followed by her funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Interment at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Margaret’s name to St. Madeline Church, Ridley Park, PA, or her parish church for the past 15 years, St. Jude the Apostle Church, Lewes, DE.
