Margaret M. Costello

Margaret M. “Peggy” Costello, age 85, of Rutledge, PA, passed away on October 11, 2026. Born in Pitcairn, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Jane Agnes Behe (nee Kelley).

Peggy was a proud Retired Lieutenant Colonel for the United States Air Force. She was also a registered nurse whose devotion nurtured countless lives.

Peggy was the beloved wife of the late Brian G. Costello; loving mother of Jason Costello (Kristin), Kevin Costello, Lisa Stanton (Job), and Todd Costello (Amy); adoring grandmother of Hannah, Quinn, Cora Leigh, and Lincoln. Predeceased by her siblings, James Behe, John Behe, and Jean Mendicino.

Family and friends are invited to Peggy’s Viewing from 9:45-10:50 AM on Thursday, October 15th at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Ave, Morton, PA 19070, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be held on Thursday, October 22nd at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA where the procession will form at the Cemetery office at 9:40 AM.
