Margaret A. Boyle

Margaret “Peggy” Agnes Boyle, 82, of Downingtown, PA, passed away December 25, 2023.

Born February 2, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of Thomas "Elwood", Sr., and Beatrice (nee DiGiovanni) Allen. 

Peggy attended grade school at St. Anthony’s and high school at St. Monica’s, both in Philadelphia. After high school she worked at The Quartermaster Depot in Philadelphia for 10 years until she became a mother. After becoming a mother, Peggy’s passion in life became her family. 

Peggy always gave of herself and always saw the good in people and in this world. Throughout her life she sought to achieve “harmony “ which is how she developed a love of yoga. She enjoyed introducing others to yoga as well. Besides yoga, Peggy enjoyed family vacations to the beach and walks to “the Secret Garden" at Hereford Lighthouse. She was a devoted Grandmother and was involved in many programs like the Special Olympics, Best Buddies, and many others in honor of her grandsons. She was a friend to everyone she met. We will miss you Peggy, until we meet again.

Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Michael J. Boyle; loving mother of Julie Girafalco (Michael) and Jean Homa (the late David); adoring grandmother of Melanie Michinock (Shawn), Garrett Girafalco, Emily Faddis, Lea Faddis, Joshua Homa, Michael Homa, Eve Girafalco, and Michael Girafalco, Jr.; and dear sister of John Allen (Maureen), Loretta DelGuidice, and Thomas Allen, Jr. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Ss. Philip and James Church, 107 N Ship Rd, Exton, PA 19341, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
