Marcy J. Goff

Marcy J. Goff (nee Bekoff), age 64, of Springfield, PA, passed away on August 9, 2026. Born in Havertown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Elaine Bekoff (nee Lehr).

Marcy approached life with a resilient spirit, a loving heart, and a sense of joy that touched all who knew her. Those privileged to call her friend, or family will remember her thoughtful manner, keen intelligence, irresistible humor, and unwavering strength. Marcy built her career in the mental health industry, serving with distinction as a Billing Manager. In this role, she exemplified professionalism, empathy, and commitment, becoming a valued colleague, whose steady hand and approachable wisdom made her indispensable. Her work, always performed with quiet dignity, reflected the broader tapestry of her life—a woman who dedicated herself to the betterment of others, both within and beyond her professional career.

Yet, it was in life’s quieter, more intimate corners that Marcy’s radiant warmth truly flourished. Her devotion to her family was boundless. She would go to any length for those she loved. The fragrance of freshly baked bread, matzo ball soup, and chocolate chip cookies in her home welcomed all with a sense of comfort.

As a lover of animals, Marcy’s fun-loving spirit attracted every dog that she met, and she enjoyed riding horses when she was younger. These passions spoke to her nurturing soul and her deep connection to the natural world.

She had a special talent for creating beauty in daily life. She taught her daughters the art of knitting and crocheting, passing on not just a skill but a legacy. Painting ceramics was her favorite hobby and was a practice that allowed her imagination and love for color to brighten the lives of those around her. Her love for the holidays elevated them to occasions of magic and wonder for her family.

Music was ever-present in her life. Her affection for “Hey Yah” by OutKast made her family laugh. She enjoyed singing not just for herself, but for the pleasure of those around her.

Marcy’s Catholic faith was nourished by her love for the Church. Her belief in the promise of heaven filled her with peace and hope, and she knew, as she so often said, that heaven is a place of unending joy and serenity.

Her favorite places reflected her jubilant outlook: the sunlit beaches of Cape May, NJ, lazy days beside the pool, sitting on her recliner watching the Eagles play every week, the welcoming embrace of her daughters’ homes, and the refreshing lift of a frozen margarita shared among loved ones.

Marcy was the beloved wife of Leon E. Goff; loving mother of Michelle E. Rynkewicz (Douglas) and Rachel L. Goff (Paul Fox); adoring grandmother of Lukas Rynkewicz; caring sister of Lee Jane Hurley (the late Thomas), Amy Bekoff (Steve Brasof), and the late Steven Bekoff (Ruth).

Family and friends are invited to Marcy’s Viewing from 8:30-10:15 AM on Thursday, August 20th at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd, Springfield, PA 19064. Interment at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
