Lynda O'Malley Hinde

Lynda O’Malley Hinde, 71, of Blue Bell, PA passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

She was born on January 28th, 1955, in Glenolden, PA, the oldest of six children to Joseph O’Malley and Mary Ann (May) Dowd O’Malley. She attended St. Joseph’s School in Collingdale, PA and a proud graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School Class of 1973.

She worked for a combined 52 years with CertainTeed Corporation and Westlake Pipe & Fittings as a dedicated employee.

Lynda was a devoted mother and grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family. She shared a loving 40-year marriage with her husband, Steve Hinde, a partnership built on love, commitment, and countless memories together. She took great pride in her Irish heritage and held a deep and abiding Catholic faith throughout her life.

Lynda cherished her time at the Jersey Shore at her beloved Caspian Cottage in Cape May where many treasured memories were made. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness. She was also fond of her crazy but lovable and funny dog, Finnegan, who brought laughter and companionship to her days. However never forgetting her love for her previous pups Bear and Tigger Hinde.

Lynda was truly the heart of her family – a constant presence who brought everyone together. She loved hosting and opening her home for cherished traditions, including Thanksgiving dinners, holiday parties, pumpkin carving, gingerbread houses and Easter egg dyeing with her grandchildren. These gatherings created lasting memories that her family will carry with them always.

Lynda is survived by her loving husband Steven W. Hinde Sr., their four children - Melissa Joy Hinde, Norristown, PA, Steven Walter Hinde Jr., Blue Bell, PA, Michael Joseph Hinde (Lauren), Conshohocken, PA, Colleen Rose Furey (Matthew), Aston, PA and three stepdaughters, Kimberly Miller (Peter), Sicklerville, NJ, Kristy Smith (Sean), Lansdale, PA, and Kelly Liszewski (Gregory), Gilbertsville, PA.

She is survived by grandchildren, Penelope Mae Hinde, Beau Michael Hinde, Harrison Matthew Furey, Jameson Joseph Furey, Baby Girl Hinde (coming May 2026) and step-grandchildren Julian Alexander Miller, Brooklyn Avery Miller, Cameron Anthony Smith, Kourtney Lynne Smith, Carly Paige Smith, Gregory James Liszewski, Jason Matthew Liszewski, and Kaitlyn Marie Liszewski.

Also surviving Lynda are her siblings, Grace O’Malley Wallace (Kevin), West Chester, PA, Joseph O’Malley (Christine), West Chester, PA, Rita O’Malley Adams (Christopher) Lititz, PA, and Michael O’Malley (MaryBeth), West Chester, PA. 

Nieces and Nephews, Kevin Joe Wallace, Ryan Wallace, Jaclyn O’Malley, Michelle O’Malley, Madison O’Malley, Caitlin O’Neill (Steve), CJ Adams, Mary Kate Haines (Zack), and Joseph O’Malley.

Aunt Mary Dowd of West Chester, PA and extended family and cousins across the United States, Canada and Ireland.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents Joseph (1988) and May O’Malley (2017), and brother John James O’Malley (2017).

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 6-8pm Tuesday, April 21st, 2026 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, Westtown, PA 19382 and 9:30-10:30am Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, at St. Helena’s Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422 followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Rd Springfield, PA.
