Lucille K. Clark

February 14, 1938 — August 19, 2025

Exton, PA

Lucille M. (Keener) Clark, 87, of Exton, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 19, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of Robert E. Clark, Sr. to whom she was joyfully married for 65 years. Born in Allentown, Lucille was the daughter of the late William R. Sr. and Myrtle M. (Stofflet) Keener. She was a graduate of William Allen High School, and the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1959. Lucille was a dedicated, compassionate nurse, whose career spanned decades at Paoli Memorial Hospital, Devon Manor, Immaculata College, St. Martha Manor, and Visiting Nurses. She helped start the Uwchlan Ambulance Corp, volunteering as a member of the first crew. Lucille was always available for neighbors in need of health care advice and was involved in local outreach to other women who had had breast cancer. She was active in churches she and Bob attended, including Messiah Lutheran Church, LCMC and most recently Calvary Chapel Chester Springs. Serving others through RVICs (Roving Volunteers in Christ’s Service), disaster relief for hurricane Katrina, financial management classes at church, and especially Operation Christmas Child, left a legacy of loving others as Christ loved her. Lucille loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed knitting, counted cross stitch, Sudoku, chocolate chip mint ice cream, peanut butter & Jelly sandwiches and fresh sticky buns from the Allentown farmer’s market. Lucille’s caring heart and deep faith in our lord and savior, Jesus Christ, will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Lucille was the beloved wife of Robert E. "Bob" Clark, Sr.; loving mother of Kristine A. Clark (Bart Schoonenberg) of Amsterdam, Holland and Robert E. Clark, Jr. (Lorraine) of Kutztown; dear sister of William R. Keener, Jr. (Linda) of Big Moose Lake, NY; caring grandmother of Meaghan M. and Brendan M. Clark; predeceased by her sister, Clara-Louise K. Sanders, and her sweet granddaughter, Erin Eileen Clark (4 months); also survived by several nieces and nephews.
