Louis Anthony Gambetta

Louis Anthony Gambetta, 72, of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026.

Born in Upper Darby in 1954, Lou was the son of the late Florence and Anthony Gambetta.

He spent many years working in the Information Technology field, where he built a respected career and where his work colleagues became great friends. Outside of his profession, Lou had a deep and abiding love for animals. In his final months, he devoted much of his time to helping shelter dogs—taking them for walks and working to find them loving homes.

Lou is survived by his two sons, Richard Gambetta (Stephenie Shimmin) and Duane Gambetta; and his five grandchildren, Madison, Shane, James, Brenton, and Ava.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, March 6, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter in Lou’s memory.
