Louis (Maxx) Anthony DiStefano

Louis (Maxx) Anthony DiStefano, 84, of West Chester, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, surrounded by family. 

Lou was born on February 10, 1941, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Anthony J. and Catherine M. (nee Murray) DiStefano. He is preceded in death by his son, Louis DiStefano Jr. He is survived by his love and wife, Carol (nee Nickel). In addition to his wife, Lou is survived by his sister, Mildred Donato; children, Kim DiStefano, Donald (Mary) DiStefano, Anthony DiStefano, Caroline (Matt) Reaney and Rip (Lindsay) Saling; grandchildren Katey Simmons, Monica DiStefano, Dominick DiStefano, Blake Reaney, Logan Reaney and Marleigh Saling; and many other relatives and friends.

Lou will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. He made a connection with all he met. Until retirement, Lou was self-employed and a previous bar owner. He had such a passion for cars, always on the lookout for his next purchase. He was a past member of Active A’s, a Model A car club, and the Chester County Car Club, and looked forward to attending car shows on weekends, even traveling to distant shows. In his younger years, he owned and rode horses and enjoyed boating and the Jersey shore. Lou and Carol enjoyed traveling and cruising. He loved music and attended many concerts. Lou loved to sing until a previous cancer changed his voice. He was fun to be around, always ready to strike up a conversation with friends and random people. Above all, he loved his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation from 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday evening, May 22, 2025 and 10:30 to 11:30am Friday morning, May 23, 2025 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382 followed by his Funeral Mass 12:00 PM at Saints Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
