Loretta S. Hood, formerly of Wayne, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on June 15, 2018.
She was born in Camden, New Jersey, on March 27, 1929.
She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Eleanor Swierzynski and the beloved wife of the late A. Craig Hood.
Loretta is survived by her son, Andrew C. Hood (Ruth), her daughters, Karen M. DelRaso (the late Tom) and Jennifer Hood Pawlosky (Mark), as well as six grandsons, Henry, Cameron and Peter Hood, Vincent DelRaso, and Ben and Will Pawlosky and one great-grandaughter, Lucy Hood.
Loretta graduated from Camden High School, which she then attended secretarial school and worked for TV Guide.
She later became a real estate agent and worked for the Benchmark School.
She was an active volunteer and Past President for the Lankenau Hospital Women's Board.
Her hobbies included gardening, tennis and she was an active member of the Old Eagle Garden Club.
Loretta loved the beach and traveling.
She enjoyed going to Cape May, Cape Cod and London.
Loretta and Craig married in 1951 and celebrated 51 years of marriage before Craig passed away in 2002.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Tuesday, June 19, 2018 10:00-10:50 AM , and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Katharine of Siena Church, 104 S. Aberdeen Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087.
Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
