Lisa E. Obrecht, 64, of West Chester, PA, passed away on March 10, 2022.
Born May 27, 1957, Lisa grew up in the area and was a resident of West Chester for many years. She went to Millersville University and had worked as a high level executive assistant in various corporate offices. An animal lover and advocate for animal causes, Lisa was devoted to her two sighthounds Bella (a galgo rescued from Spain) and Captain (a greyhound mix). Apart from her dogs, Lisa loved the arts, with her enthusiasm for live music exceeded only by her passion for the work of local artists and craftspeople, many of whom she made close friends. She was a connector and patron, and her loss is a loss to the local artist community.
A sweet, affectionate, generous soul, an empath who liked nothing more than caring for other people, Lisa is now free of all cares. She is survived by her beloved companion of 17 years, Ross Hippely, and by her cousins, extended family and so many friends. She is predeceased by her parents Guy C. and Beulah B. (Tessier) Obrecht.
A memorial service in celebration of Lisa's life will be held at a date to be posted later on her Facebook page.
In lieu of flowers, Lisa would have suggested contributions to The American Lurcher Project (https://www.facebook.com/ohiolurcher, http://www.ohiolurcherproject.com) or Senior Sighthound Sanctuary (https://seniorsighthoundsanctuary.org).
