Linda was born on November 27th, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Ralph and Helen Willis. She graduated from Interboro High School, where she participated in color guard. She went on to start her career at Mass Mutual as an Office Clerk. Linda spent much of her adult life as a homemaker and professional house cleaner, caring for her three children and six grandchildren. She happily retired early and spent her free time with her family, gardening, playing bingo, and crafting. Linda also enjoyed her frequent stays at the family mountain home in upstate Pennsylvania and snuggling with her dog, Remi.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents and two of her siblings, Ralph Willis and Joan Clavin. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Richard Strickland Sr.; her three children, Richard Strickland Jr., Michael Strickland (Jeanine), and Heather (Strickland) Marvon (Gregory); and her six grandchildren, Lauren, Cole (Juliana), Cara, Lindsee (Nathanael), Courtnee, and Carley. She is also survived by three of her siblings, Helen (Willis) Read, Larry Willis, and Carol (Willis) Bedrosian, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend Linda’s viewing on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 9:00–11:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Donohue Funeral Home, located at 1627 West Chester Pike, PA 19382. Interment will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Foundation for Women’s Cancer (FWC).
