Linda Ann Snyder

Linda Ann Snyder, 74, of West Chester, PA, passed away on May 19, 2022 at age 74.  Born December 8, 1947 in Malden, MA, she was the daughter of the late Alexander S. and Helen (Frazier) Gretsky.

Linda was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, MA before moving to West Chester, PA in 2008. During her time in Wilmington, she stayed at home to raise the family, was the devoted daughter and caregiver of her parents Alec and Helen and her aunt and godmother Edith Schiavo.  Linda worked at Wilmington TJ Maxx and CVS where she was loved by many friends, colleagues and patrons. 

Linda lived for her beloved grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She also loved animals and was passionate about feeding and helping them. She loved them all, large and small and donated generously to a multitude of animal rescue foundations. Linda loved to read, loved watching scary movies, doing puzzle books and watching animal shows. She was loved by all who knew her and was known for her kindness, generosity, fun sense of humor and sarcastic wit.

Linda’s family would like to thank the employees of Arbor Terrace, Willistown in West Chester, PA for their love and care of Linda over the past four years. You became her family and she loved you all dearly. She especially loved the pet visits.

Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband Vance V. Snyder; parents, Alec and Helen and is survived by her daughters, Stacey L. Schwind (Bill Kiley) and Karen (Snyder) Allen, step children, Steven Snyder, Brenda Snell (Mark), and Jean Campbell (Doug). Linda was the adoring grandmother of Michael Schwind (Laura), Kevin Schwind (Rachel), Nicholas Schwind (Katie Banenas), Colin Cameron, Erin Cameron, Samantha Snyder, Shannon Snyder, Katie Campbell, and Kyle Campbell; the proud great-grandmother of Hadley Schwind; the caring cousin of Sandra Schiavo (Peter MacAnspie) who was like a sister to her. She was predeceased by her brothers: Alexander Gretsky and Walter Gretsky; and her beloved aunt and godmother, Edith Schiavo.

Services will be held in Wilmington, MA, at a later date.
