Letitia L. Abel, a devoted wife, mother, MomMom, and sister passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on October 24, 1942, Letty was a true embodiment of kindness and love, remembered for her unwavering patience, selflessness, and giving spirit.

Letty's life was marked by her deep devotion to her faith and family. Known for her warm-hearted nature, she cherished her time with loved ones, always prioritizing their needs and happiness above her own. Whether sharing moments of joy or offering a listening ear, her presence was a comforting constant in the lives of those around her. Her love extended not just to her immediate family, but embraced all who crossed her path, embodying the notion that love is meant to be shared.

When she wasn’t attending mass, Letty found immense joy in gathering with her family. Her favorite local spot was the Springfield Diner, but she also loved Rita's Cherry Water Ice. Letty enjoyed visiting the Jersey Shore to put her toes in the sand. She delighted in simple pleasures, whether it was savoring Werther's candies or engaging in games of Rummikub and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed watching game shows on TV, especially when she guessed the correct answer. Above all, she found joy in spending time with her family nurturing them with her love and care.

Letty is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Abel, and their children: Patricia Baker (Tim), Edward Abel (Annette), Nancy MacKrell (Brett), Marianne Miller, Sandra Knese, and Joseph Abel (Marisa). Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Timmy, Kimmy, Jessica, Joey, Jill, Brett, Matt, Taylor, Jax, Shane, Ryan, Justin, Jared, Julia, Andrew, Lexi, Aiden, Ella, Riley, Brody, Joie Rae, Nicky, Daniel, and Amelia, as well as her great-grandchildren, Will, Lucas, Mason, Madison, Jacob, Jackson, Joshua, Makaela, and Andrew. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Puleo (Pete) and leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless dear friends.

Letty is preceded in death by her cherished son, Michael; her two beloved grandchildren, Jimmy and Abby; and her brother, Robert Lobb, who is survived by Sue.

In honor of Letty’s life, family and friends are invited to her Viewing at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and again on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow the Viewing at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA on June 2, 2025, beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA

Letty Abel’s legacy is one of love and devotion, an inspiring example of faith and family bonds. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
