Leo B. McCarthy III, 47 of Landenberg, PA and formerly of West Chester, PA passed away on April 27, 2018.
Born in Chester, PA in 1971, Leo was the beloved son of Leo B, Jr. and Dorothy (Natale) McCarthy.
Leo had a love for life and the simple things that was unsurpassed. He was a caring, supportive, funny, brilliant, determined and honest man that was one in a million.
He would give the shirt of his back to a friend or a stranger.
The love that he had for his family and friends was inspiring.
Nothing would come before the promise that he made or the call that he would have to make to support the people in his life that meant so much to him.
If Leo could not accomplish the task alone, he would get people together or make a call to the person that he knew could help...and people were glad to help, because at some point, Leo either helped them or just simply made them laugh.
Leo had a passion for fishing that was at times difficult to accomplish, but he would never give up.
When he could no longer walk without crutches, he decided to get a kayak so that he could continue fishing.
Fresh water or Salt, it did not matter, just as long as he was on the water.
He did his best to get others to join in, no matter skill set...he wanted everyone to have fun with him and take pleasure in what he enjoyed the most.
Leo was forever working his mind; reading and learning every day.
He would share his new found knowledge with friends and family.
He wished to inspire people to think and not just listen, but to hear.
Never afraid to try new things, Leo would research new projects.
Anything from tying flies to tomato gardening.
Leo enjoyed making fishing videos and documenting his trials and tribulations with new projects and products in his made up spoofs on hunting and fishing shows.
Every video was hysterical and people waited on the next installment of the Hunter T Ficsher Show.
He took great pleasure in making people laugh. He especially liked making home movies starring his nieces, Colleen and Catherine.
You will never meet a man more determined to live, laugh and love than Leo.
He touched so many lives. His family, friends and the world lost a great man.
He will be missed and never forgotten.
In addition to his parents, Leo is survived by his loving wife Kimberly McCarthy (Sward); his sister, Erin Algayer (Alex); his nieces, Colleen Mc Bride, Catherine McBride, Nina Sward and Adrianna Sward; and his nephew, Anthony Sward.
