Kevin “KT” Donohue was delivered into the hands of God unexpectedly on the morning of September 2nd, 2025, at the age of 16. He is survived by his big brother, Ben, little sister, Lucy, and his parents, Kevin and Lauren Donohue (Daly), his grandmothers Arleen Daly (Cini) and Helene Donohue (Magee), aunts and uncles Vin Donohue, Peter & Kristin Sims (Donohue), Brian & Colleen Donohue (Krause), Michael & Kelly Daly (Allen), Richard and Sarah Offen (Daly), and 17 adoring cousins: Jack, Ella, Moira, Cate, Peter, Kieran, Ryan, Abby, Gwyn, Brian, Kellie, Joey, Annie, Libby, Cora, Lila, and George. KT was preceded in life by his grandfathers, Michael “Big Mike” Daly and Vincent J. “Pop Pop” Donohue.
Though KT’s time on this earth was short, his impact on family and friends will be felt forever. Born on April 8th, 2009, in West Chester, PA, KT attended The Bucket School for preschool followed by 9 years at St. Agnes, then joined his big brother at their Dad’s alma mater, Malvern Prep. Through hard work and grit, KT excelled academically and athletically. At St. Agnes KT was involved in student council, football, and basketball. Some of his greatest memories were on the football field and basketball court with his teammates. In any competition, KT was living proof that “heart beats height” and “grind beats gifted.” Despite his toughness and tireless work ethic in any athletic endeavor, KT’s sportsmanship was admired by teammates and opponents alike. He was always seen helping players up off the ground (even though he was often the reason they were on the ground in the first place). He kept a cool head in the most adverse circumstances. As games got intense, KT would go into slow motion. He was a joy to watch. More importantly, he was loved and admired by his teammates who knew they could always count on him. At Malvern, he played football and lacrosse. In lacrosse, his goalies took comfort in knowing that they had a fierce defender in KT in front of them. Throughout his life KT developed lasting friendships everywhere he went, including USTC Flag Football, Downingtown Heat Basketball and Roughriders Lacrosse teams.
Beyond his toughness and grit, he exhibited a humility and a quiet confidence not frequently found in 16-year-old boys. KT was unapologetically genuine, never acting like anyone he wasn’t. Most importantly, KT was exceedingly kind. Maybe it was his warm smile, maybe the encouragement he offered to anyone he met, but everyone who knew KT felt it. It was so refreshing to see and experience. Inside his home, KT was always the first child to help with any chore whether it was doing the dishes, taking the trash out, or feeding their dog, Louie. His siblings especially will forever cherish his quiet but deeply comforting presence in their late-night chats. Those nighttime hangouts were haphazard, hosted in a variety of bedrooms, and covered the wildest range of topics, but they were nights that otherwise brought together three very different and busy kids; Kevin’s heart was at the center of it all. Above all else, it is KT’s kindness that will serve as an example for everyone who knew him and will remain with his family and friends for the rest of their lives. #LLKT
