Kenneth Hornbaker, II
September 17, 1968 — July 11, 2018
Kenneth H. Hornbaker, II, age 49, of Wayne, PA, passed away peacefully into eternal life on July 11, 2018 at his home in Avalon, NJ.
Ken was born on September 17, 1968 in Media, PA to the late Betty Jean and Kenneth Hornbaker. He is survived by his beloved wife Tracy Hornbaker (nee Clark), his three loving sons, Adam, Ryan and Evan Hornbaker, his father and mother-in-law, Richard and Christine Purkiss, father and mother-in-law Layne and Denise Clark, brother David Hornbaker and many loving cousins.
Ken was a graduate of Penn State University where he received his bachelor's degree in accounting. After receiving his CPA, he went on to work in Philadelphia for Price Waterhouse and held many other finance positions in his profession. For the past eleven years, he worked at West Pharmaceuticals where he was the Vice President of Finance, Americas and his most recent position was Treasurer.
Ken was a devoted father to his three sons and he took great pleasure in attending all of their various sporting events and school functions. He was often seen shooting hoops after he got home from work in the driveway with his boys which was what he liked to do the most.
Ken also was an avid runner who ran three marathons as well as many half marathons including the Broad Street run. He and his wife Tracy and his boys enjoyed spending summers in Avalon where Ken did many runs for charity.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:00 AM-10:30 AM, Tuesday July 17, 2018 at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 104 S Aberdeen Ave, Wayne, PA 19087, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery
