Keith O. Washlick

Keith O. Washlick, 87, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, which remained his home in his heart, passed away on January 24, 2024.

Born in Philadelphia in 1936, he was the son of the late Detzel E. and Jessie (née Jones) Washlick. 

Keith was the loving father of Matthew James Washlick; proud grandfather of Matthew Lexi, Michael Andrew (Ashley) and Mary Rose Washlick; dear brother of Lila Coddington (the late Al), Sylvia Studenmund and Matthew D. Washlick (Joseph); uncle of Mark, Steve, Beth, Amy and the late Jeff.

He served honorably in the US Army.

He was a loyal and lifelong Eagles fan and season ticket holder for 61 years. He loved sports, was an avid walker and very active in both golf and rowing. He was proud to say he played golf in every US state, rowed a million miles on an ergometer in one year, and went skydiving in his seventies.

Keith was a longtime member of the Penn Athletic Club Rowing Association (Penn AC) of Philadelphia’s Boathouse Row. He was a huge supporter of both St. Josephs’s Prep and Philadelphia Rowing. He traveled to the Olympics in Greece and Australia as part of the rowing community in support of the Olympic team, and to St. Joseph Prep’s first varsity 8 Henley Royal Regatta in the UK.

After retiring from his many years as a Service Manager in the Printing industry, he went to work part time another 25 years until his final retirement in 2020.

Keith was a family-oriented man who loved his son and grandkids and enjoyed spending time with them.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:30 AM-12:00 PM, Saturday, February 3, 2024 and to his Funeral Service 12:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Burial will be private.
