Kathleen P. (Green) Yeager, 78, a resident of West Chester, formerly of Media and longtime resident of Clifton Heights passed away on March 11, 2024.
Kathy was born in Philadelphia to the late Harold M. and Catherine F. Green. Kathy was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA.
She was a longtime member of both Holy Cross Church and St. Eugene Church. Kathy served as a Volunteer aide at Holy Cross School and was a founding member of the Cardinal O’Hara Band Parents Association in the late 1980s. She worked as a receptionist/secretary/office manager for City Services in Bala Cynwyd, UltraSonic Seal Corporation in Broomall and Aston for over 25 years and AmPro Printing in Secane. She was an avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles and whatever sports teams her grandchildren were playing on through the years. She enjoyed clipping coupons, food shopping, doing crossword puzzles, volunteering at local libraries and even got herself and her dogs certified to visit local nursing homes to offer comfort care to the elderly. She loved animals, especially dogs and she was un-officially recognized as “The Mayor of Kent Dog Park” in 2010 for her years of service to the park. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Kathy is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Edward J. Yeager Jr, and her son, Edward J. Yeager III.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Kathleen) Yeager and her daughter, Megan (Matthew) Zabel; grandchildren: Katherine (Robert) Yeager-Brown, Ryan Yeager, Gabrielle Zabel, Kyle Zabel, Jeremy Zabel and Joshua Zabel. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Saints Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
