Kathleen M. McDevitt, (Kathy), age 71, of Morton, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 10, 2024.
Born in Darby, PA, she was the daughter of the late John J., Sr. and Kathleen (nee Gordon) Master. She was raised in Woodlyn, PA and after relocating several times throughout her life, she resided in Ridley Township.
Kathy dedicated 30 years of her life working as a Clerk at Pathmark Supermarket in Folsom, PA, where she made a positive impact on those around her with her commitment and one of a kind demeanor.
Kathy adored her family, especially her grandchildren, who loved their Mommom very much. She enjoyed attending their games and the many events they were involved in. Kathy was so proud of their accomplishments and would tell anyone who would listen. Holidays meant a lot to her because she was surrounded by her family, especially at Thanksgiving.
Kathy was the loving mother of Michele Fitzpatrick (John IV) and Kathleen Monastra; the devoted grandmother of Kasey Fitzpatrick, Dianna Monastra, John Fitzpatrick V, Damian Monastra, and Dino Monastra, Jr. She is also survived by her brother, John J. Master, Jr. (Dianne) and Mary McDevitt (Paul). Her nieces, Krystal Lea and Cella Bella, who she affectionally considered to be her ‘favorites’ will miss her dearly.
Kathy will be remembered for her love of a good party, crab fests surrounded by family and her strong-willed nature. Kathy's presence will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.
Services to honor and remember Kathy will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Avenue, Morton, PA 19070. A Visitation will take place from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Saturday, March 16, 2024, followed by a Funeral Mass from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Interment will be private.
