Katharine ("Nancy") Curtin Quinn, of West Chester, PA, passed away on October 19, 2017.
Born in Scranton, PA in 1930, she was the daughter of the late Eugene A. and Katharine (nee Megargee) Curtin. Nancy graduated from Trinity College with a degree in mathematics. At the University of Pennsylvania, she worked on the first computer ever built. Nancy also started and ran several successful businesses, including two popular ice cream parlors (called "À La Mode") in Ocean City, NJ.
She was the beloved wife of William P. Quinn; loving mother of Clare Quinn, Bill Quinn (Tracy), Laura Wood (Anthony), Ellen Quinn (Andrew Youman), Brenna Quinn (Sean O'Hara), Julia Miller (Michael), and Maureen Acton (James); dear sister of Laila Cuddy, Mary Smith, Timothy Curtin, and Fr. Vincent Curtin; also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30 am Saturday, November 18, 2017 at St. Norbert's Church, 50 Leopard Road, Paoli, PA 19301 followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Daylesford Abbey (attn: Fr. John Joseph Novielli, Director of Development), 220 S. Valley Road, Paoli, PA 19301 or to Trinity Washington University (attn: Development Office), 125 Michigan Avenue NE, Washington, DC 20017.
