Karen L. Valentino

Karen Lee Valentino, 61, of Downingtown, PA, passed away on July 13, 2026.

Born in West Chester, PA, on October 12, 1964, she was the daughter of Francis Valentino and the late Jean M. (née Lafiata) Valentino. Karen grew up in the Johnsontown section of Downingtown and was a 1982 graduate of Downingtown High School. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Church.

Karen was the loving mother of Christopher L. Valentino (Jessica) and Kyle V. King; devoted grandmother of Keira Eckberg; dear sister of Kevin F. Valentino (Jean); caring aunt of Ryan F. Valentino (Emma Katherine), Ian M. Valentino (Daylin), and Justin B. Valentino; and proud great-aunt of Lawson Valentino, John Thompson Valentino, and Vincent Valentino.

Karen worked as an underwriter at AXA XL for 28 years. She was a member of Applecross Country Club. She enjoyed golfing with her family. She also dedicated many years as a volunteer with Downingtown Young Whippets and was an avid skier. Some of Karen's happiest memories were spending summer vacations at the beach with the Valentino family.

The family would like to thank the many friends and relatives who supported Karen throughout her illness. Your kindness, compassion, and love meant so much to her and to all who cared for her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00 AM to 10:20 AM, Saturday, July 18, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 338 Manor Rd, Downingtown, PA 19335 followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. A private burial service will be held for the family.
