Julia Loscki

Julia J. (nee Scheidler) Loscki, age 103, of Wayne, PA, formerly of Steel City, PA, passed away on October 1, 2021. Born in Shimersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Julia (nee Weninger) Scheidler.

Julia was a very special and amazing woman who lived through two pandemics, two World Wars, the Great Depression, the Vietnam War, Korean War and countless presidents. She  first started working in the silk mills of Bethlehem, PA, and later started her own business making window treatments and bedding. Julia was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Steel City Fire Company and volunteered for the Steel City Ambulance.

An avid baker, Julia was famous for her cinnamon rolls and pies. At nearly 104, Julia told numerous stories of her humble beginnings and taught us all how to be better people. She was a true blessing. Her beautiful smile and heart of gold made her a grandmother to everyone who knew her.

One of her great joys was spending summers on Long Beach Island with family and friends. And in the words of her great-granddaughter, Danielle, “Julie had a great run!”

Julia was the beloved wife of the late Frank J. Loscki. Loving mother of Marie Raiser; adoring grandmother of Lyn Raiser (Daniel), Christopher Raiser (Gina) and Bethany Turro (Edward); caring great-grandmother of Sofia and Danielle Turro and Lia and Ryan Raiser. She was predeceased by her siblings Anna Sule, Mary Zambo, Elizabeth Fisher, Helen Boletz, Margaret Dutko, William Scheidler, John Scheidler, and Stephen Scheidler.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass, Friday, October 8, 2021, 10:30 AM at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406. The family respectfully asks that masks be worn during the service. Interment Private.
