Joyce Ann Martin, MSS, CCDC

Joyce Brennan Martin, MS, CCDC, age 73, of Swarthmore, PA, passed away on May 29, 2024.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1951, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Barbara (nee Rodgers) Brennan. Joyce worked as a therapist and was involved in many organizations dedicated to helping people, including the National Association of Forensic Counsellors, MSIA, AA (1981), and Sprouting Light, LLC. She was passionate about her work and believed that all people deserved to be treated with dignity, especially the fallen. Her empathy and compassion made her well-suited to her profession. Joyce had a strong spiritual life and her connection with God was unwavering. In her free time, Joyce enjoyed cooking, painting China, decorating, and traveling. She was always frugal and liked to attend yard sales and often went antiquing. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.

Joyce was the beloved wife of Edward Martin; loving mother of Fritz Navickas (Lori) and Barbara Hallowell (Steven); caring grandmother of Delaney Fagan (Paul), Stevie Hallowell, Fritzy Navickas, and Isabella Navickas; dear sister of Donna Stephan, the late Steve Brennan, Barbara Capitola, Bernie Brennan, the late Johnny Brennan, Betty Binns, Carol Sullivan, Timmy Brennan, Dennis Brennan, Tommy Brennan, Martin Brennan, Bernadette Mawson, and Petrina Brennan; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and grand and great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM Monday, June 10, 2024 at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, PA 19070, 610-544-0600, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.  Interment private.
