Joshua M. Kirkpatrick, born on September 14, 1975, left this world on February 20, 2026. He is remembered as a devoted father, loving son and brother, skilled nurse and steadfast friend whose passions touched the lives of many.
Joshua’s vibrant spirit was evident in his love for cars, but not just any cars. He had a thing for old Toyotas, Volkswagen Beetles and his dream car, Karmann Ghias. He cherished hunting for and working on them, often with his best friend Harry.
He was a self-proclaimed nerd, as he also found joy in Harry Potter and Star Wars, building Legos and immersing himself in books. Josh was a true homebody who loved tinkering with tools in his garage and he had a natural talent for cooking, often known for his beef jerky and jambalaya, which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends alike.
An avid outdoorsman, Josh embraced the beauty of nature, often spending time camping or cycling. His commitment to developing the potential of young individuals was reflected in his role as a scout leader, where he guided and inspired his own son and his fellow Scouts.
Joshua is survived by his children, Joshua M. Kirkpatrick II, Lydia M. Kirkpatrick, and Corinthian Grace Kirkpatrick as well as their mother Tana. His mother, Margaret Ann (nee Carmen) Kirkpatrick, also survives him, alongside his siblings, Shannon E. Wellington (John) and Shawn R. Kirkpatrick, as well as his cherished nephews, Gabriel, Gavin, and Shane. Also surviving Joshua is his best friend, who he loved like a brother, Harry Heverling along with his wife Tiffany and the rest of the Heverling family who always treated Josh as one of their own. Joshua was preceded in death by his babies, Olivia Marie and Mark Xavier, and his father, Robert W. Kirkpatrick II.
His legacy of love, creativity, and adventure will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
